Public Health and Safety

Shelby County is facing crises that feel separate - crime, poor health, low literacy, unstable neighborhoods - but they grow from the same root. Stable housing reduces future public cost, decreases youth contact with the justice system, and increases workforce participation. It is one of the most efficient long-term public health investments a government can make.

Education and Workforce

Education is the bridge to opportunity. A strong education system is crime prevention, workforce development, and economic growth all in one. We will invest in a Pre-K to Paycheck pathway: birth-to-three supports, expanded Pre-K access, real work experience for teens, and clear job connections for adults.

Economic Growth and Social Mobility

Shelby County has always been a place where things move: planes, packages, people, and ideas. We are positioned to become the culture, amateur sports, and distribution capital of the nation where people, jobs, creativity, and opportunity meet. Economic growth requires a focus on giving people the tools, transit, and investment needed to move upward and forward.

Housing Affordability & Stability

Housing instability disproportionately affects women-led households, particularly Black women, and stabilizing housing is one of the strongest predictors of long-term economic security for families.

Government Performance and Efficiency

We will run Shelby County with discipline, transparency, and shared purpose. Every department will have clear goals, measurable results, and public accountability.
